Tiny and Mighty

This time of year I notice the little golden crowned kinglets hanging upside down in the  conifers and moving quickly from branch to branch. They are looking for insects and tree sap.   This tiny bird is  only 3.25 to 4.25 inches long with a wingspan of 6.5 to 7 inches and a weight of 5.3 to 5.8 grams. Continue reading

Stirrings and Longings

There it is! Don't you see?
Catch it! Catch it! Catch it now.hum on zinnia
Watch it glide above the sea
Spreading wings so prettily.
Red and Green and Blue and Gold
Are its colors I've been told
Look into its dreamy eye
Feel its grandeur, hear it sigh.

But I cannot see it now.
For it flies away so fast.
Catch the memory and make it last.
Catch it! Catch it! Catch it now.
There it is! Don't you see?...

Energy Shift

Trouble cannot prevail against the awesome power of Love.

Have you ever been in a situation where you could feel the energy shift?  I experienced this at an art fair I attended last spring.

Attendance was poor. And the hours of the fair were so long, by the end of the first day all the artists were just staring at each other! There was frustration and unhappiness all around. As if to pick up on all this bad energy, the fire alarm went off towards the end of the day! Continue reading
