A dewdrop’s gaze

In the darkness of the night
When your thoughts are flooding in
Roosting in your brain
Keeping you from sleep
There lies a peace so frail
Sitting at the edge
Of your periphery.
Like a crack of light under the door
It shows how things could be.weed with dew DSC_0066
It’s always there.
In every reverie
Waiting to gentle your thoughts
Protect your heart
Hug your unbelief
Turning each tear of longing
Into a golden jewel
flying off into the night.
A slice of heaven
In a dewdrop’s gaze.

  1. What a really beautiful poem Linda,so wonderfully described!! 🙂 I know what you mean, there is this tiny bit of peace always lingering somewhere in your mind. It’s odd really, I’ve had times when I would have thought it would have left completely due to some uncomfortable circumstances, but no, it was still waiting! 🙂

  2. Linda, your poignant poem speaks hope deep into those middle of the night moments when darkness seems the heaviest. Thanks for reminding me that the Light of Love prevails.
